One Year Pictures

Here are a bunch of pictures! We took these last week and I so pleased with them! I couldn't chose just one :)

I is for Isaiah #12 Happy Birthday!!

It's your birthday Isaiah!  One year ago you were born! We were in a small hospital room and I was so tired! This year we are in a new house and you have tons of energy! You are getting cuter by the day!

Your days are pretty typical....you have been waking up at 8! (or later)  Have your first nap at 10 then your second nap at 2 and then you go to bed between 6:30-7:00.

You are all done with bottles and drink milk from sippy cups.  You love reading your books, even though they are almost always upside down.  You enjoy taking the baskets off the shelves and scattering the contents.

You are scaling every wall and furniture item.  Not walking yet but almost.  You have four teeth, the top two are almost all through.  You are wearing size 12-18 month clothes and size 4 diapers.

You do NOT like it when I leave you in the church nursery.  You went months with loving it but now you hate it.  I can usually enjoy about 20 minutes of church before someone comes and gets me.... but we will try again every Sunday.... don't you worry!

You are so smiley and happy, except when you see me making food... then all of sudden you get so hungry!  We are working on patience and good manners :)

We love you so much! We have a party planned for you today.... new friends are coming over.

Happy Birthday to our Isaiah boy! We love you more then words can say!

Sarah and Matthew's Visit

Sarah flew to Greenville and Matthew drove down from Washington D.C.

The first morning we drove to a Mennonite Farm and had breakfast.  It was the best breakfast I have ever had! How can you go wrong with butter syrup? I mean, come on!  I would go back everyday if I could.

We love when Uncle Matthew comes down....we will visit him next!

We drove over to Little Washington.  It's about 25 min away.  It was the first port town in North Carolina.  Besides the waterfront, it was a little disappointing like most of the small towns here.  Stores that aren't open and it was hot....

It was pretty on the boardwalk though.

Sarah and I drove to New Bern which is a very historical and well to do little town.  Famous people live there and many chose to retire.  We went to a museum and royal palace.

Captain Isaiah watching out for us....

Are we in Europe?

See you soon Sister Sarah!

East Coast Fourth of July

Mikey's Aunt Susan and Uncle Jack invited us to spend a few days with them at the beach over the fourth of July.  We said sure!  The beach is only an hour and half away.... We spend the days swimming in the pool and sitting at the beach.

Rhodes giving Isaiah his bottle.  What service!

Beach baby, he sat for at least an hour on that blanket...

Our house...

Mikey and the boys in the ocean

We went on a couple bike rides.... sorry for the pink helmet Isaiah!

He was not happy, but got over it :)

He does the love the ocean... but you wouldn't be too sure by this picture.

I is for Isaiah #11

11 months.  That's right, Isaiah you are 11 months!  You aren't too happy about it based on the pictures, but I chose the worst time to take them, right before bed... oh well.

This past month, Isaiah you have been on the go!  You move from here to there in no time!  You push your walking doggy with reckless abandonment.  You have one speed....running full force when you push him.  You are also a fast crawler.  You haven't made any attempts of walking on your own yet.

Your favorite book is Brown Bear Brown Bear.  It is almost falling apart.  After you play with it for a while you will push it across the floor.  You push everything.  Laundry basket, books, your musical table.  Anything that isn't stuck to the ground you try to use as a push toy.

Your bedtime is 7:00 and you wake up between 7:00-7:30.  You take a nap two hours later. And then your afternoon nap is usually around 1:30.

You are eating most of the foods that we eat, which is nice for us to eat as a family.  You do make a big mess when you eat, I clean the floors everyday.

One of the cutest things that you have been doing is when you wake up, you jump in your crib, really fast.  I hear you talking and jumping in the morning.  You defiantly get your daily exercise in.  We try to go on walks everyday but sometimes it is too hot or raining.

You love the pool!  Over the fourth of July when we were at the beach, you loved splashing in the pool.  Mikey would set you on the ledge and you would jump towards him with a big smile.

11 months means almost 1 year!  Hopefully the next photo shoot will be much happier!  You will be the big party baby then!
