The Road to Tennessee

We spent the last five days in Tennessee.  It just worked out that Mikey had a couple days off and he switched around a few shifts for us to take a quick trip.  Mikey's dad flew in from Denver as well.  We stayed at cousin Beth and Brad's house and visited with Aunt Joy and Grandma Brown.  Isaiah has successfully made this 9 hour trip two times now...so we know he can handle the drive to Disneyworld someday.....Anyways....

One afternoon we went to the discovery kids museum, similar to the one in Raleigh.  He was able to pick some vegetables.

Now we are back home and Mikey is working nights till Thanksgiving and then days... I have been busy getting ready to host Thanksgiving this year, hopefully I get everything done!  It is nice to have a constant helper :)

Friends

This morning everyone came over to my house for a play date and these three are fast friends :)  At the end of the crazy morning when most people had left I spied them all sitting on the window sill giggling to each other.

15 Months

Isaiah you are 15 months old!

After your nap today, your dad took you in the backyard to play with the ball.  It was actually quite cold and I took the opportunity to capture some pictures. 

Isaiah daily schedule looks like this: 7:30 you wake up, actually happy and talking to yourself.  When I come into your room you usually squeal with delight and start jumping really hard in your crib.  We play for a little bit and then I feed you breakfast.  You love bananas still and will usually have yogurt or toast.

I switched you over to one nap a day.  So we do our best to stay awake the WHOLE morning!  We will either play at home, run errands, or go to Bible study during this time.

We come home and I make a quick lunch.  Someday's it's mac and cheese, quesadilla, sandwich, and fruit.  You are using your hands to eat but I will give you a spoon sometimes.... you still don't quite get it though.  You often laugh at the spoon and try to eat it.

You will nap from 12:30-3:30 ish.  That is a really wonderful time.  Who knows what I do during that, maybe nap, clean up, read, or work on a project.

After nap we usually just play with toys, read books, or do chores around the house.  You love helping and pushing your way into everything I do :)

You are saying some words, but making sounds all day long.  You say mama, dada, ball, and other b words... You wave goodbye and cry when your daddy goes to work.  You try and put your own shoes on when we get ready to go.  You love bath time and the rare times that I let you play in the kitchen.

We usually eat dinner between 5:30-6:00.  Then we start getting ready for bed at 6:30.  Bath time, reading, and singing.  Then I put you in your crib and usually start laughing.  We pray and I say good night.  You usually talk to yourself for a couple minutes and jump...then fell asleep.

We love you so much!

Another word that you have started to say is baby....which I don't think you realize that baby sister is about to arrive in THREE months!  But you are still my baby :)

Pullen Park

I finally got a new battery charger for our camera...so I will be taking lots of pictures again :) 

Yesterday we went to Raleigh to enjoy a crisp fall day at an amazing park, eat at a REALLY good restaurant, and walk around a mall!  (Three things that are hard to come by in Greenville) 

The park had lots of swings, play structures for little kids, boat rides, an inside carousal, and a train to ride on!

Isaiah loves swinging and often cries when we take him out.

There was a pond in the middle of the park with geese.

He laughed so hard when Mikey helped him walk down the stairs.

I am (just about) 15 months!

A cute little train station.  They do a special train ride at Christmas, so I am going to try and bring Isaiah back then.
