Life as we know it now....

We all made it to North Carolina!  Mikey drove with his dad and uncle, our two cars across the country.  Isaiah and I flew a week later.  Mikey and his dad picked us up from the airport and we made the hour and a half drive to our town.  The drive was beautiful, very green and trees everywhere.  If you picture southern California, its the complete opposite! We were blessed to find a beautiful home to rent near the hospital but not too close.  It has a large backyard and a guest room! Please come visit!

Since we have been in town I have been busy unpacking our boxes and learning my way around.  We have been to two different churches and will try another one on Sunday.  Mikey just started some training this week and he will officially start next week.  My parents just left from a week visit with us.  It was the best time.  Matthew even drove down for two nights!  It was so wonderful to be able to have room for everyone to stay with us.

Here are some pics of our new place and surrounding area!

Big backyard for playing!

I is for Isaiah #10

Here we go, Mr. 10 Months! You are a busy baby, as you can tell from the pictures...

This month you are crawling with great speed and pulling yourself up on everything.  You love to pull yourself up and then dance while yelling.  You also bounce to most music, even while at the grocery store.

Isaiah you are talking non stop.  You say mama and dada.  You love when your voice echos in certain places.  You are taking baths in the big tub now...and splashing around a lot.

You are a very good eater and will eat most of anything we put in front of you.  We even ordered you your first kids meal from a mexican place this weekend.  We probably didn't have to do that, but I just wanted too :)

You are 22 pounds and 29 inches long.  Wearing 12 month clothing and size 4 diapers.  Yes, you are sitting in your new room.  It isn't quite unpacked yet...

Your new trick is patty cake patty cake, which you discovered at grandma and grandpas house.  You love clapping your hands.

Your sleep is pretty much the same.  One morning and afternoon nap. Bedtime is at 6:30 and you wake up at 7:00...

You are a pretty relaxed baby and happy almost all of the time.

We love you so much Isaiah!  Even when you give us the angry squish face!

Medical School Graduation

This past weekend Mikey officially became a doctor.  The celebration started with the hooding ceremony Friday night.  The graduates marched in and the students that had had a baby during medical school walked in last, carrying their child.  Then all the families went on stage and each baby received a silver baby cup with their name engraved on it.  Isaiah LOVED his cup! His teeth marks are all over it.

After the baby cup ceremony, we then sat back down and prepared for the hooding portion.  I walked back up with Mikey, along with Isaiah to put his hood on him.  During that part they read a statement that Mikey had written and said where we are headed.  They were all very special to listen too.  Isaiah did SO good that night!

Playing with his new silver cup :)

Saturday morning was the baccalaurate service.  It was a formal worship service honoring the graduates.  Right when the organs started playing, Isaiah was mesmerized!  He just loved the music.

The graduate himself after baccalaurate.

Saturday afternoon we had a group graduation party with all our friends.  It was so much fun.  All of the girls met through our Bible study.  We have been friends now for four years.  I will miss them all so much!

Part of the family!

Most of Mikey's family flew in to celebrate with us :)

Very good friend Katie, I will miss her!

Graduation Day!!!  Mikey walking in the processional.

The family eagerly awaiting for his name to be called.

Diploma in hand!

Isaiah even got to meet his great grandma Brown.  She came all the way from Tennessee.  It was very special to have her there, especially since Mikey's grandfather graduated from Loma Linda 56 years ago...

Everyone together!

I couldn't be more proud!  Congratulations Dr. Brown!

(More pictures of the weekend)

Our friends from church threw us a going away party! It was the sweetest thing.  There were about 15 young kids running around.  Notice the green for Greenville :)
