And Thomas enjoys it too :)

Lucy Ann Month 7

Lucy girl is 7 months.  You are sitting up really well on your own now.  You love to be held all the time or sat right across from mama to play.  You are very good at taking one hour naps :) Sometimes they will stretch to 1.5, but not that often.  Lucy you are still taking three naps a day, I tried to just do two naps, but it was pretty terrible.  You didn't like being up that long :) Your bedtime is still 6:30 and you wake up at about 7:00-7:30 with one night feeding.

We tried some solid foods at your six month mark, but you really wanted nothing to do with it.  So I tried again and again, but you really didn't want it! Ha!  But, now at 7 months you love sweet potatoes! At least for today, hopefully tomorrow too.  You have always hated being on your stomach for play time and only in the last few days have you tolerated a couple more minutes.  Sort of pushing up on your legs like you might crawl soon?  Maybe between 8-9 months, like Isaiah did.

Your brother LOVES holding you and rocking you! He would hold you all day if I let him.  He loves to tackle you to the ground.  Even though you are a mama's girl, you can tolerate when I am away.  You have have done fine with a couple sweet babysitters and of course your daddy :)   I see your sweet and observant personality coming through.

Oh and did I mention that you love Thomas too?  Isaiah NEVER watched as much of TV as you do, he didn't really even know what it was a your age, but by the time 5:00 (maybe 4:00 sometime) rolls around and you are fussy, guess what will instantly stop your crying?  Thomas the Train.  You even do a little dance to the music. Haha You do like music, so I try and sing to you as well as put on music and that will calm you as well.

This month has been long because Mikey has been on Trauma.  Which means long hours with little time at home... but it's almost over!  And soon you will take your first trip to California!!! Yay!!!

Some quick stats: You are wearing 9 month clothes and still some 6 month.  Size 3 diapers, and I am guessing you are around 14 pounds :)

Lucy Ann Month 6

This serious little lady is 6 months!  I mean look at those baby blues! :)

Lucy, you bring so much joy to our house.  You love watching your brother and grabbing him! You enjoy playing with your little toys and you smile when we sing to you.

You go to bed between 6:00-6:30 and wake up for the morning around 7:00 with usually only one night feeding.  A couple of times you have slept 13 hours straight.

You are still taking 3 naps a day.  In between the naps we run errands and chase around your brother!  He loves to give you trains to play with.

You are definitely a mommas girl.  Mikey and I have gone on several dates but always after you go to bed.  You are doing better in the church nursery and we are working on the bottle concept, though it's not easy.  You love to be held by me!

You are going to try solid foods this week and I think you will like sitting with us at the table.  You still don't like being on your tummy for too long.

You are wearing six month cloths and are finishing the last of the size two diapers.

Your weight will be updated here after your dr appointment!  We love you Lucy girl!

Isaiah is 2

And just like that, Isaiah is 2!  We celebrated by going to IHOP for breakfast together as a family and then had a big party in the afternoon.  This little boy is very sweet to his sister. He brings her toys, takes them away, and goes looking for her when she is asleep.  Isaiah goes to bed at 7 and wakes up between 7-7:30.  He vocabulary has increased quite rapidly over the past couple of months.  He can count to ten, knows most of his colors, and is working on his letters.  He loves TRAINS.  He loves to quietly sit and read books.  And he loves his legos!

Lucy Ann Month 5

Lucy you are five months and I have to say, I am starting to see a sibling resemblance :)  This week you have really discovered your voice and have done some yelling!  After I took your pictures today, you were making the loudest noises, you weren't upset....just wanting to be heard.  In fact several sounds you make sound like Isaiah :)

You are still taking three naps a day and going to bed at 6:30 with a wake up time between 7-7:30.  You wake up once or twice a night, hoping to get down to one then none?

You are smiling and laughing.  Isaiah absolutely adores you, giving you hugs and kisses all day!  He tells me what clothes are yours, what bottles are yours, and so on... "sissy's bottle, sissy's shirt)

You are wearing six month clothes and size two diapers. At your fourth month app you weighed 13 pounds, so I am guessing you are just over that now.

You have good neck control and are working on sitting up by yourself, still not stable.  You can roll over though.

I stopped swaddling your arms a couple weeks ago and you love putting your fingers in your mouth.  You also love grabbing your toes.

You actually like the exersaucer now and I can put you in it to play! Isaiah is getting much better about sharing this toy with you, even though he is obviously too big for it!

This past month you had a big weekend trip to D.C. to see your Uncle Matt and Grandma Miller came to visit.  Boy do we love when we see family!

We love you Lucy girl!

Swim lessons

Isaiah had his first swim lessons last week. It was a transitional class, so the first day the parent was in the water with the child, second day the parent sat on the ledge, and the rest of the days the children were expected to sit on the ledge with the parents sitting on the bench. Did it play out this way? Sorta... Isaiah had difficulty sitting still. He sat for a little but then wanted to get up and come to momma. He also fell in once which scared him. The instructor did tell me at the end of the week they were going to adjust the age levels for this class... Haha
